Manuka honey is extracted from the plant Leptospermum scoparium, which is found in New Zealand. The white flowering plant blooms in spring and attracts bees with its strong scent. Manuka honey is a 100% natural food with a strong antibacterial component that actively acts on the body.
Its consumption has positive effects on digestive problems, wound care, winter protection, oral care and general well-being. Research conducted for the first time at the University of Dresden has shown that a concentration of at least 100mg/kg dietary methylglyoxal (the active ingredient in Manuka honey) is required to achieve the desired effects. This beneficial effect has not been demonstrated with any other substance known on earth in its natural state.
Intake: 1 teaspoon (approx. 5 g) of honey three times daily, 30 minutes before meals. The honey intake can be increased if necessary.
